Preferences, activities, and focus history remain in your Windows user profile.
Privacy, in plain language
Your focus stays
on your device.
Pomro is built to work without an account, a cloud service, analytics, or advertising. This policy explains exactly what the app stores and what the developer can—and cannot—access.
No analytics, advertising identifiers, behavioral profiling, or cross-site tracking.
Pomro does not ask for your name, login credentials, payment details, or contact list.
Who we are
Pomro is developed and published by Marco Cagnina, who is the data controller for the limited processing described in this policy.
Privacy contact: info@marcocagnina.com.
This policy covers the Pomro desktop application for Windows, the Pomro website, and privacy-related support communications.
Data stored by the app
Pomro stores the following information locally so its features can work:
- Preferences: focus and break durations, cycle settings, automatic start preference, selected sounds, volume, theme, and always-on-top preference.
- Activities: activity titles you create, a locally generated identifier, color, creation and last-used times, usage count, completion time, and current selection.
- Focus history: locally generated session identifier, start and end times, duration, completed or partial status, extension duration, and a snapshot of the associated activity title, identifier, and color.
- Window state: window position and dimensions used to restore the app where you left it.
Pomro does not access or collect your contacts, files, browsing history, precise location, camera, microphone, photos, messages, health information, financial information, or Microsoft account credentials.
Why this data is used
Local app data is used only to provide the timer, remember your preferences and activities, display local statistics, calculate streaks and totals, and restore the window state.
The developer does not receive this local data. To the extent data-protection law applies, the processing is necessary to provide the functionality you request and is based on performance of the service requested by you.
Storage, security, and retention
App data is written as local files inside the application-data area of your Windows user profile. It remains there until you reset the relevant settings or delete Pomro's local application data. Pomro does not automatically expire focus history or activities.
Pomro does not add application-level encryption to these files. Their protection therefore depends on the security of your Windows account, device, disk encryption, backups, and access controls. Keep your device and operating system protected and up to date.
Device or cloud backups configured by you or by your organization may retain copies independently of Pomro. The developer cannot view or delete those copies.
Website, cookies, and support email
The Pomro website is a static website. Its code does not set cookies, use analytics, show advertising, create user profiles, or include a contact form.
As with any website, your browser must send technical request information—such as your IP address, browser user agent, requested page, and time of the request—to the hosting infrastructure so the page can be delivered and protected. Pomro does not use this information for advertising or behavioral profiling.
If you email info@marcocagnina.com, the sender address, message content, and related metadata are processed to respond to your request and handle support or security matters. Email is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes and any applicable legal obligations. The email service provider may process this information as a service provider.
Microsoft Store
Microsoft may independently process information when you browse the Store, acquire Pomro, manage your Microsoft account, or receive Store updates. That processing is controlled by Microsoft and is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Pomro does not receive your Microsoft account credentials or payment information.
Children
Pomro is a general productivity tool and is not designed to collect personal information from children. Because the app has no account or data transmission, the developer does not knowingly receive children's app data.
Your choices and rights
You control the app data directly on your device. You can reset preferences in Pomro and can remove all locally stored Pomro data by deleting its application-data files. The developer cannot remotely access, export, correct, or erase local app data because it is never received.
For personal information contained in support emails, and where applicable under the GDPR or other laws, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing by contacting info@marcocagnina.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority; in Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated if Pomro adds features that change how data is handled, such as cloud sync, accounts, integrations, analytics, or a new hosting provider with materially different practices. The effective date and version at the top of this page identify the current policy.
